Have you made plans yet for the Family Day Weekend? If you are looking for something to do other than curling up with a warm blanket and binge-watching Netflix; Bramptonist has you covered with a bunch of fun activities to keep you busy across the city.

1. Go skating at Gage Park

Grab your skates and some warm mittens and head to Gage Park for a spin on the skating trail. Take a few family selfies while you are there! You’ll also have the chance to decorate cookies, roast a few marshmallows, do arts and crafts as well as interactive outdoor games.

2. Explore Chinguacousy Park

The list of things to do at Ching Park this weekend is a long one! In addition to tubing and skating, you’ve got the Mini-Moo Zoo, crafts, curling, road hockey, inflatables and more, including delicious food options like Jaime’s Cracked Corn.

3. Get active at PAMA

With a fun-filled schedule of activities, you won’t find time to be bored at PAMA this weekend. Enjoy learning activities, family fun yoga, nature art, music shakers and more. The best part – it’s all free!

4. Kick back at Brampton Library

Look up your local branch to enjoy a variety of family fun activities like bingo, Wii Gaming, family storytime, and more. The new Springdale is also now open and it’s awesome.

5. Enjoy Brampton’s rec centres

In case the weather decides to not cooperate with us, most recreation centres across Brampton are hosting public swims and public skating all day. For something different, Brampton Soccer Centre is hosting a Family Day Soccer Tournament. Call 905-458-4036 for more information.

6. Take in a Brampton Beast game

Get the family together and head to the Powerade Centre to cheer on our local hockey team

7. Check out Family Weekend Fest

Gear up for Family Day by joining other families at the Powerade Centre for 2 days of skating, inflatables, games, magic and all sorts of entertainment.

8. Go trampolining at Aerosports

When you’ve had too much family fun and need to burn some energy, head to Aerosports and jump it out. It’s hard not to have fun when you are literally bouncing off the walls.

9. Battle with lasers at Glowzone 360

Is there any better way to promote family bonding than challenging your family members to an epic laser tag battle? Check out Glowzone 360 for glow in the dark mini putt, laser tag and more.

10. Throw axes at Stryke Target Range

Perhaps you are looking to enjoy an activity that isn’t going to be packed with small children. Axe throwing, archery and knife throwing is a lot of fun. If you have not yet had a chance to check out Stryke, this is a great weekend to do it.
