MONDAY JULY 25


1. Acoustic Jam in Garden Square

Garden Square’s Acoustic Jam showcases local musicians in their natural, element. The Square is transformed into an intimate, musical space every Monday evening from 6-8 p.m.

This jam session is BYOI (bring your own instrument) Also available on-site, is an instrument petting zoo where everyone is invited to pick up a new instrument and try it out. This week’s Acoustic Jam will be hosted by Carmen Spada.

TUESDAY JULY 26


2. Free Zumba in the Square

Get your exercise in with free fitness classes in Garden Square every Tuesday! This Tuesday July 26 there will be a Zumba Gold class from 10-11 a.m. which is low impact and a regular Zumba class from 6-7 p.m.

3. Open Mic & Paint Night

Beaux-Arts Brampton and the Brampton Folk Club proudly invite you to their collaborative installment, Open Mic / Paint Night. Taking place on the last Tuesday of every month from 7-10:30 p.m. Performer sign-up is at 6:30 p.m.

Each performer (musician, comedian, poet etc.) will be given a 15-minute time slot to fill the room with their brand of creativity. Find out more here.

4. Oyster Tuesdays at J. Red

‘I don’t give a shuck Tuesdays” is on this week at J. Red & Co! Enjoy $1 oysters, half priced bottles of wine and live music. It’s a lively atmosphere for sure! Bottles start at 5 p.m. and the music kicks off at 7.

5. Ghost Bike Ride

A teenage cyclist died after getting hit by a minivan in Brampton on July 19, 2016. There will be a delivery of a ghost bike memorial at the intersection where the collision occurred. Riders will meet at Gage Park at 6:15 p.m. and leave at 6:30 p.m. More details here.

6. Outdoor Hatha Yoga

Enjoy some yoga in the sun! Burn those calories and be one with nature. The class kicks off at 7 p.m. at J.P. Hutton Park – 22 Madronna Gardens. The cost is $20.

7. Paint Nite Peel

Grab a few cocktails and paint to your heart’s content! A master artist leads you through steps to create a 16×20′ acrylic masterpiece. 8. Entrepreneur Connect

Entrepreneurs meet in Garden Square to connect and get advice from experts. This week’s topic is Top 10 Marketing Tips and will be facilitated by Marine Hughes, a Marketing Communications Specialist. The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Register here.

9. Paint & Cocktails

Paint & Cocktails, a paint night experience designed just for adults will be doing their thing on July 27 at J. Red & Co from 7-9 p.m. Register here to reserve a spot for the evening!

10. Outdoor Summer Theatre

Brampton Musical Theatre will perform popular broadway hits. Wednesday’s show takes place in Ken Whillans Square in Downtown Brampton. Don’t forget a lawn chair or blanket. The show starts at 7 p.m.

11. Throwback Thursday Movie

This week’s throwback movie in Garden Square is Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. Don’t forget your lawn chair and snacks!

12. Ladies Cocktail League at J. Red

J. Red & Co is hosting their very first ladies night out! The evening will feature cocktails — of course, sharing plates, appetizer features and an accessory bar so ladies can get their shop on. They’ll have some great music too.

13. Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market

The city’s Thursday market kicks off every week in Mount Pleasant Square from 4-7 p.m. Don’t miss your chance to grab fresh produce, baked goods and tons of other great stuff.

14. Knit At PAMA

Learn to knit or brush up on your skills at knit@PAMA, run by Peel Art Galley Museum & Archives. Every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. knitters come together to do their thing. Yarn is provided by PAMA and any donations of knitted items goes to Regeneration Community Outreach in Brampton. Knitters of all levels are welcome, including newbies.

16. Lunchtime Live!

From 12-2 p.m. every Friday live DJ spins beats in Garden Square. Bring your lunch, enjoy the music and maybe kick off Friday early with drinks on The Works patio.

17. Friday Night Concert

Friday Night Concert series in Downtown Brampton is back for another epic week. This week’s lineup will feature Blitz and Downturn as the openers and Modern Space as the headliner. As always, you can expect host Nav Nanwa to be there interviewing bands before they take the stage.

21. Artists’ Marketplace

Every Saturday morning artists line Vivian Lane in Downtown Brampton to showcase their beautiful works and handcrafted goods. Don’t miss the chance to snag something unique! Artists set up from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

22. Farmer’s Market

Take a stroll through the Downtown market and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. Grab yourself some fresh produce, preserves, baked goods and handcrafted items. Enjoy live music, food demonstrations and street food too.

23. Movies Under the Stars in Garden Sq.

This Saturday’s double-header in Garden Square will be Star Wars: The Force Awakens at 5 p.m. and Star Trek: Into Darkness at 8 p.m. BYOC (Bring your own chair!)

24. Movies Under the Stars (Gore Meadows)

If Downtown isn’t your scene on a Saturday evening, you can catch The Jungle Book at Gore Meadows starting at 9 p.m.
