In hopes of diversifying their offerings, the Beer Store just launched home delivery in two lucky communities—Scarborough and Ottawa

The limited roll-out is all part of a pilot project that’s hopes to modernize the way the company does business.

If successful, Ontario could see the program in other cities, including Brampton.

Residents of the two cities chosen as test areas can order from over 800 Beer Store products and have it delivered within two hours.

Safety policies are already in place: home delivery will include ID checks and confirmation that the purchasers of alcoholic beverages are not already intoxicated.

Sources say the next few months will be spent analyzing the data and doing further research to decide whether the program is worth extending.

Just a few short months ago the Liquor Board of Ontario (LCBO) launched home delivery and there are plenty of craft brewers that already deliver brews to the doorsteps of consumers.
