Brampton is Getting a Jazz Festival This September

If you’ve ever wanted to attend the Toronto Jazz Festival but didn’t want to deal with traffic and parking, here’s some news that will be music to your ears (sorry, I couldn’t resist that one!).

Brampton will be hosting its own jazz festival this coming Fall at Garden Square. B-Jazzed will present the “World Of Jazz Festival,” sponsored by JN Asensio Realty, on Saturday, September 9 in Garden Square from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Best of all, this jazz festival is free!

So far the scheduled performers include Carmen Spada, The Frank Pincente Quartet, Demo Cates, and Larnell Lewis, with other acts to be announced in the coming months.

The festival organizers have hinted that there may be sneak peek performances during the upcoming Farmer’s Market (which begins June 17) and pre-jazz-fest performances at local restaurants.

In addition to lectures and performances at Beaux Arts, there will be a “Long & McQuade Petting Zoo” with instruments available for people to try out.

If you prefer to beat the heat or if you love the nightlife, there will also be some post-festival evening jam sessions at Sul Irmaos and La Catrina from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Stay tuned to Bramptonist for more details on the World Of Jazz Festival as they are announced.
