The City of Brampton just hosted its first official Pride event, and now the city is about the have another first — an LGBTQ-themed comedy show.

Spearheaded by local comedian Neil Griffin, Crack Me Up Comedy hosts monthly comedy shows at venues across the city.

The free show is at Maguire’s Pub and it’s hosted by Hal Val on July 15 at 8 p.m. Andrew Johnston headlines and the evening will also feature comedians such as Bennett Carlton, Brendan D’Souza, and others.

If the LGBTQ-themed show is popular Griffin says he’ll host others, potentially on a monthly basis.

Crack Me Up Comedy is slated to host a show at The Rose next April, and Griffin hopes to have at least one LGBTQ performer in the lineup.
