Do you have a passion for creating and building pieces of art from scratch? Do you want your art displayed around the city? If all points to yes, check out this cool project the city is doing for Canada’s 150.
All artists, local schools, individuals and art organizations can take on the Muskoka Chair Challenge organized by the city.
This challenge is encouraging Brampton residents to create and decorate 150 Muskoka chairs for Canada’s birthday that will be displayed across the city.
Submissions can be built from pre-fabricated kits provided by the city or participants can design whole chair from scratch.
The theme of the chairs should represent the words that describe Canada, strong, proud and free. Participants will have their chairs used in one of the many public places in Brampton.
The deadline to submit applications is March 10, 2017.
As you start building your chairs, share and keep track of your progress by using #MuskokaChairChallenge on social media.
Some of the best chairs will be on display at Brampton’s Canada Day celebrations at Chinguacousy Park on July 1, 2017.
