Back in April WestJet announced plans to launch a low-cost airline by the end of 2017.

Now a new startup airline, Canada Jetlines, has announced its intent to offer cheap flights as early as next June.

Flights could be as low as $100, according to the company’s CEO Stan Gadek, and would fly out of Hamilton and Waterloo, going to destinations like Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Halifax.

The company says it wants to start a “a rebellion” against high airfare.

In other news, Flair Air, a charter service that recently acquired discount carrier NewLeaf’, has also announced it will soon serve Toronto Pearson.

So what we’re trying to say is, 2018 may be the year to start exploring the rest of Canada.
