Brampton chef Jason Rosso, co-owner of J. Red & Co. at Main and Vodden, has expansion on his mind.

Knowing downtown Brampton has a nice lunch crowd, he’s partnered with frozen yogurt shop Nom Nom’s on Queen St. in the Four Corners area to open a new restaurant called J. Red Express.

A recent announcement from Nom Nom’s says J. Red Express will focus on healthier options. This is great news: now you have plenty of room for the cheesecake toppings on your froyo.

The new eatery will share the split-level space with Nom Nom’s. So you’ll still get the same awesome yogurt and toppings bar, and there will still be pizza cones (thank goodness!). But when J. Red Express launches you’ll also be able to get fresh salads with interesting ingredients, and a variety of delectable hot dishes, too.

Right now Nom Nom’s/J. Red Express is closed for build-out, but it will reopen again as the mouth-watering dual destination restaurant in mid-October.
