The city’s official kickoff to summer is happening this Saturday in the form of a giant street festival in downtown Brampton: CeleBrampton.
CeleBrampton, the city’s start-of-summer celebration, is getting a revamp this time around. This year the festival will be an all-day affair, running from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Flower City Parade has been taken off the roster in favour of food vendors, live music, food demonstrations and an art market.
A bunch of Brampton’s best restaurants will be sharing their popular dishes in small plate format. Food demonstrations will take place by Brampton’s resident celebrity chefs Jason Rosso (J. Red & Co) and Ranveer Brar (Mayura).
A DJ will entertain the crowd throughout the day, and in the evening live acts will take the stage, including reggae artist Exco Levi and rock band the Jerry Cans.
A market with local artisans will be located in Daily Times Square outside city hall.
There’s lots more going on, a bunch for kids and the family too.
