If you love trying out different cuisines from around the world, you’ll want to check out Carabram’s World of Food on Saturday, September 9.
This event runs from 3 – 9 p.m. in Downtown Brampton, part of a giant celebration in Brampton that also includes World of Jazz and the Live Art Competition
There will be close to 20 different food vendors on Main Street that will offer visitors a taste of the diverse food scene in Brampton. Have a taste of Latin, Eastern European, Italian, Portuguese flavours and more.
Sponsors include Chennai Caterers, Halo Halo, J. Red & Co., La Catrina, La Gran Uruguaya, La Marmite Maurcienne, Nom Nom’s, Queen Gypsy, Spicy Cucina, and Sul Irmaos. The food festival will run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Also not to be missed is the free jazz festival happening downtown on the same day. The festival will bring Grammy award-winning artists and other talent performing different forms of jazz from around the world. The music kicks off at 1 p.m. and will run well into the evening until 11 p.m.
If your art is more your speed, then watch artists go head to head in a live art competition. The battle ground? A 16×20 canvas. The competition runs all day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and members of the public are invited to watch it all go down at 24 Queen Street East in downtown Brampton.
