Two men in their 20s have been charged with stunt driving after street racing went awry Monday night causing a three-vehicle crash.

The crash happened at the intersection of Williams Parkway and Rutherford Road at around 11 p.m.

Witnesses say two men were travelling at what appeared to be well above the speed limit when they hit a third car that then flipped over.

Shortly after the crash two men, including one of the accused, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Peel Police believe street racing was what led to the crash. Two men have now been charged under the Highway Traffic Act and will have their licenses suspended for 7 days.

The identities of the accused has not been released because the stunt driving charge isn’t actually a criminal offence. it falls under the Highway Traffic Act.
