Labour Day Weekend and the end of summer vacation are just about here. This means a bunch of holiday closures across the city, and you can get everything you need to know in the list below.
City hall is closed on Monday, September 4 along with banks and government buildings. The city’s library branches will be closed and Brampton Transit will operate on a holiday schedule.
Most retail stores across the city are closed, along with some restaurants. The Beer Store and LCBO will also be closed.
Always-reliable Bramalea City Centre will be open on Labour Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for any of your last-minute shopping needs, but that’s about all in terms of retail. Some restaurants across the city will also be open, but not all so be sure to call ahead and check.
Some of the city’s recreational facilities will also be open, and you can find out what programming is still on by calling 311. Labour Day is also the last day to enjoy city spray pads, wading pools, outdoor swimming at Professor’s Lake and Eldorado Pool.
