The Rose Theatre has a ton of cool stuff on its schedule this summer. Here are 10 of The Rose Theatre’s must-see shows:

The Greatest Show

June 20 at 7 pm, June 21 at 7 pm, June 22 at 1 pm and 7 pm

Prepare for an evening of dance as the Joanne Chapman School of Dance presents its year-end performance at the Rose Theatre.

We Will Rock You

June 23 at 3 pm and 7 pm

Jessica’s Dance Innovations is presenting its 17th annual year-end showcase with a variety of routines from their many recreational and competitive dancers. Please note that strobes and haze will be used during their performances.

Dance Fever and Games Galore

June 24 at 7 pm

The Studio A Dance Academy performs its year-end Recital at the Rose Theatre in a fun evening with their various styles of dance.

One Night Only

June 27 at 6 pm

Students of the Deborah Thomson School of Dance showcase their talent and hard work in their annual recital with an exciting show of many dance styles.

From Judy to Bette

July 4 at 8 pm; July 5 at 8 pm; July 6 at 2 pm and 8 pm

Critically acclaimed creator, performer, and Brampton native Rebecca Perry performs on stage, this time taking a look at famous actresses Judy Garland, Bette Davis, Lucille Ball, and Betty Hutton and how they broke convention and began something bigger in Hollywood.

The Gin Blossoms

July 23 at 8 pm

Grammy-nominated rock band the Gin Blossoms takes the stage at the Rose with their music fusion of melodic rock, pop, folk, and elements of country.

Where You Are

July 24 – 26 at 8 pm; July 27 at 2 pm and 8 pm

Kristen Da Silva presents an all-new comedy with Where You Are, filled with lots of laughs and a lot of heart.

Person of Interest

August 7 – 9 at 8 pm

An original play created and performed by Melodie A. Johnson about a “housebound loser” driven to the brink. This comedic drama about a good neighbour gone bad will resonate with audiences who have ever lived, loved or fought with neighbours.

Canadian Improv Showcase

August 15 at 8 pm

Watch and participate in a completely unscripted improv comedy event with a variety of game-style or short-form skits that range from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, guided by audience suggestions.

The Count Basie Orchestra

September 6 at 8 pm

The Count Basie Orchestra has won 18 Grammys, performed music for several movies and television shows and at every jazz festival and major concert hall in the world. This 18-member orchestra takes to the stage at the Rose with their legendary music.
