2016 Peel Health restaurant closures in Brampton

If any of your favourite restaurants closed down temporary in the past few months, it may very well have been because of a Peel Health violation. Here’s an ongoing list of 2016 closures.

Ardglen Bakery – 85 Clarence St.
Reasons: Poor housekeeping, unsanitary conditions, pest infestation hazardous food temperatures

Lian Jiang Li Bakery – 50 Kennedy Rd. S.
Reasons: Unsanitary conditions, pest infestation

Popeye’s Chicken and Seafood – 269 Queen St. E.
Reasons
: Unsanitary conditions, pest infestation

Taco Bell – 25 Peel Centre Dr.
Reasons: Poor housekeeping, unsanitary conditions, pest infest

Gore Meat Shop – 4525 Ebenezer Rd.
Poor sanitation, hazardous food temperatures, pest infestation

Spring Rolls – 25 Peel Centre Dr.
Reasons: Premises no longer operating

Biryani King – 40 Gillingham Dr.
unsanitary conditions, poor housekeeping, pest infestation

747 Flea Market, The Cake and Pastry Shop, 73 Parkhurst Sq.
Reasons: Did not provide proper sinks, labeling for food and/or chemicals, accurate and easy-to-read thermometers, sufficient sanitizing supplies

All above establishments have since had follow-up inspections and reopened.
