Grand Opening of Graceful Art Gallery at Grace Place, 11 a.m. – 12 a.m.

East Coast Kitchen Party at Garden Square, 2 – 8 p.m.
All Maritimers and Mainlanders – and those who are curious – are invited to come celebrate the culture of the east coast. With performances by Jason R. Martin and The Mainland Kitchen Band, join in by building your own “ugly stick” to bang along or enjoy a cold plate – this family-friendly event welcomes everyone to the table.
All About Bats at Claireville Conservation Area, 8:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Join TRCA for an evening walk to learn about local bats and why they are important to our communities. Recommend for families with children ages 6 and up. Please wear closed toed shoes and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Wednesday, June 27:
Brampton Newcomer Day at Brampton Multicultural Centre, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This event, a first for the city, will bring together more than 15 local exhibitors who will be offering their services in order to help Newcomers feel more settled in their new community. Brampton Newcomer Day will offer a variety of programming, from accessing Canadian health care to getting advice on resume-building and job-hunting, to speaking to someone about banking in Canada to fun activities for kids.
Thursday, June 28:
Latin Heat 2.0 at The 237, 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Each Thursday night there are free salsa lessons for guests. Dance floor opens up and Latin Ballroom dancing continues to 1 a.m.
Friday, June 29:
Painters of Night at Beaux Arts Brampton, 7 – 10 p.m.
Join the Painters of Night for an evening of art, camaraderie, good music, and food. Beaux-Arts Brampton provides an easel and a modern, spacious classroom while you provide your own materials and creativity. Participants can choose to bring potluck food or drink to share with everyone. Tickets are $5 for members, $8 for non-members.
Saturday, June 30:
BYOB Paint Night at Visual Arts Brampton, 7 – 9 p.m.
Come for an evening of artistic exploration and socialization as an instructor leads the group through a new painting from start to finish. All the materials you will need for the session are provided (canvas, brushes, apron, paints, palette). Tickets are $25. Ages 19+ only, please.
Police Day and Community Fun Fair at Region of Peel Police Headquarters, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This event will provide a positive environment for all community stakeholders, citizens and police personnel to interact in a fun and informal environment. Visitors will be able to see many displays and exhibits by Peel Regional Police as well as representatives from St. John Ambulance, Brampton Fire, Brampton By-Law and Brampton Animal Shelter.
Sunday, July 1:
Canada Day at Chinguacousy Park, 12 – 10 p.m.
Come and enjoy internationally acclaimed and local live entertainment, participate in the many fun, family activities, and enjoy the various food vendors. Tom Cochrane and Red Rider will be the headline act on the main stage at 8:30 p.m.
