O-Two Medical Technologies (OTMT), a Brampton based company, is partnering with the Province of Ontario to create 10,000 ventilators to equip doctors who are currently fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
OTMT is a company that produces state-of-the-art products for the provision of emergency respiratory care and inhalation analgesia. In a media release issued this month, O-Two stated:
“With the support of Canada’s largest automotive suppliers, we will make sure that this important life-saving equipment gets into the hands of the healthcare professionals who need it now. The entire team at O-Two is dedicated to fulfilling this historic
undertaking around the clock. Mitigating the risk of contamination is paramount
to achieving this goal.”
Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade are also working with other businesses throughout the province in order to produce more ventilators at this time.
“The province has an army of innovators, entrepreneurs, and the hardest-working people in the world ready to roll up their sleeves, support our frontline healthcare workers, and beat this virus,” says Premier Doug Ford. “This mass mobilization of government, business, communities and private citizens to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep people safe and healthy represents one of the largest and most ambitious efforts undertaken by Ontario in generations.”
