Bramptonian Jennifer Tran is making quite a name for herself. She’s just 25 years old, and not only was she named on the recent CBC 30 Musicians Under 30 list, but she’s also one of the winners of the 2018-2019 University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra (UTSO) concerto competition.

This highly-skilled musician, who graduated from Mayfield Secondary School, has played with the UTSO and the Rose Orchestra in Brampton. She also belongs to two saxophone quartets. One’s called “Dialectica” and it combines classical and jazz, and the other quartet is called “aksÉ™s” which covers string compositions.

There may be performances coming up this fall, depending on what happens with COVID-19, so keep an eye out by following Tran on Instagram. You can also listen to her play over on Soundcloud right here.
