With Canada’s supply increasing, governments are now planning to administer more vaccines.
Seniors are first in line to get their shot in the arm. If you are 80 years or older, then you are now eligible to get your Covid-19 vaccine. Call William Osler Health Centre’s vaccine clinic booking centre at 905-494-2120 ext. 56685, from 8:00 a.m. – 6: 00 p.m., seven days a week. Vaccinations are by appointment only as walk-ins will not be seen. If the line is busy, call and call again.
You can also reserve an appointment on-line by first creating a myOsler account, then making your reservation. Although very cumbersome, you can start your on-line reservation by clicking here.
Peel Region Public Health is planning mass vaccinations for the general population. For those living in Brampton, community clinics are being coordinated at:
- Save Max Sports Centre (formerly Brampton Soccer Centre), 1495 Sandalwood Parkway East, Brampton
- Chris Gibson Arena, 125 McLaughlin Road North, Brampton
The community clinics will serve priority groups first, and after that, the broader community as the vaccine supply becomes more readily available. Stay informed about when these clinics open by visiting Peel Region Public Health.
Getting your shot in the arm is not mandatory. However, if you have faith in medical science, the vaccine can save your life and those of your loved ones and friends.
There is indeed a significant amount of disinformation in the public forum. If in doubt, ask questions, do not rely on unscientific sources.
