On April 9, 2020 many Bramptonians got an email from Loblaws about the Real Canadian Superstore at 85 Steeles Avenue West. It stated the following, “We are writing to inform you that a team member has recently tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19…this individual has not been in the store since April 6th.”

The store closed for deep-clean and sanitation and expects to reopen Saturday, April 11 at 7 a.m.

Other steps the store said it took in the email were to disclose to customers via the email, to reach out to local health authorities to investigate the worker’s recent shifts and direct contacts, and to instruct exposed colleagues to self-isolate at home.

The store encouraged consumers to contact Peel Public Health with any further questions.

At this time it is unclear what the exact shifts were that the employee worked, so Bramptonist will update this article as new information is forthcoming.
