Fresh off the stage at Toronto’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, Alessia Cara performed an intimate acoustic set at Bramalea City Centre of her latest singe ‘Scars to your Beautiful’.
Before her performance, Cara sat down with Toronto YouTuber Mathew Santoro to chat briefly about her recent successes.
It was the singer’s first public performance in Brampton since her hugely successful first hit ‘Here’.
She’s had an impressive year, to say the least. Following the release of ‘Here’ and her debut alum ‘Know-It-All’, she’s had three singles on Billboard’s Hot 100.
She’s also performed on big stages like Cochella, The VMAs, opened up for Coldplay on their latest tour and just wrapped up her own headlining tour.
Following her chat with Santoro, she performed ‘Scars To Your Beautiful’ to a hushed crowd.
After the performance Alessia met with fans who managed to snag wristbands through HMV Canada.Some showed up as early as 5 a.m. to the mall to snag one from the limited supply. All fans had a chance to chat with Alessia and snap a photo.
Bramptonist’s Editor in Chief Nikita also had the opportunity to meet Alessia and present her with some Brampton swag designed by local artists through Arrow & Vine and LAB B.
