Leading the race in this year’s Juno Awards are Drake, The Weeknd, Sean Mendes, and Brampton girl Alessia Cara. And we’re pleased to say that Cara tops the list of nominees announced this week with four nominations.

Her single Wild Things will go up against One Dance by Drake, Starboy by The Weeknd, and Treat You Better by Sean Mendes — all mega hits in 2016.
Cara is also nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year for Know It All, and the Fan Choice Award. She’ll face some Canadian music heavy hitters in these categories too.
Cara took home Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2016 Junos and is poised to do well this year too.
