Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement that Wednesday afternoon will bring possibly dangerous winter conditions.
The storm is expected to have up to 15 cm of snow which will fall — along with blowing snow — during the afternoon commute, making the way home treacherous.
Environment Canada’s special statement continues, “Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.”
They also say that if you don’t need to be out on the streets or on the road, then don’t do it until conditions improve.
If you’re interested in tracking snow removal operations across Brampton, you can find updates on when main streets, residential streets, courts, sidewalks, and bus stops have had the snow cleared on the city’s website.
