Big Changes Coming to Bramalea City Centre

The space that Target once occupied at Bramalea City Centre (BCC) has been undergoing renovations for the past year or so and its finally coming to an end.

There’s been a lot of speculation about what retailer would take over the space. Its significant amount of square footage is suitable for only a handful of large retailers, who are becoming a bit of a dying breed these days.

Instead of waiting around for a big tenant BCC has been renovating the bigger space into smaller stores.

Saks OFF 5TH is scheduled to open this spring in the space and will be taking the biggest chunk of square footage.

The rest of the space has been designed for smaller retailers and BCC is likely already looking for tenants.

It isn’t clear exactly how the layout will look, or how many spaces are available just yet. But with Saks opening in just a short couple of months, it seems only reasonable that mall owners will be looking to fill those spaces to coincide with the opening.

Saks is a destination for designer brands at a great value and will offer a mix of more than 800 designer brands. Some of the brands include Fendi, Jimmy Choo and Prada. So who should join them in the new space?

Lush, Urban Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret and Michael Kors are all good options and could work well alongside Saks.

Topshop might  also consider expand beyond its small corner inside of The Bay (It’s a little bit disappointing) or some other retailers could be looking to move since this location will likely have a lot of foot traffic.

We’ll be keeping  close eye for developments and announcements of new retailers.
