One of the biggest festivals to hit Peel Region this summer is taking over Brampton’s most prominent cultural institution—the Rose Theatre—for a night.
The show is called “Bollywood Monster Mashup Does Brampton” and it features artists from across the GTA in an edgy multicultural showcase that incorporates various art forms.
The event, which was sold out last year, has come back bigger and better with a mashup of comedy, music, spoken word and visual art.
For the comedy portion of the evening, Amish Patel, creator of Fade to Brown will take the stage as host. Jean Paul, a Gemini Award-winning comedian, will headline and Rupan Bal, infamous funnyman and YouTuber, will be at the event for a meet-and-greet.
As for music, headliners are Haviah Mighty and daysdeaf + Selena Dhillon. Mighty will be performing hits from her recent release, Flower City, which pays special tribute to Brampton.
It doesn’t stop there though, a lineup of local spoken word artists are also slated to take the stage, including social rapper MC Noyz, Alyestal and more.
If all of that isn’t enough to stimulate your senses, an art exhibition will also run throughout the evening.
Don’t miss any of the action on July 15 at the Rose Theatre.
