Brampton-based company Arrow & Vine is thinking up new and creative ways to showcase local talent. The vision is to create a lineup of mad swag, from t-shirts and tote bags to sweaters and pins — all artfully designed by local young illustrators.  They take their cues from Montreal-based brand Stay At Home Club.

“Our vision is to help support local artists by providing exclusive and limited edition products featuring their designs,” says Vanessa Scott, co-founder. Right now Arrow & Vine is running a contest to find local illustrators looking to collaborate and design pieces for their line which will include all sorts of clothing, accessories and gifts. “We live in one of Canada’s biggest cities, & we’d love to see it become a hub for emerging artistic talent and creativity.”

A website is currently in the works and the lineup of products too. The illustrators who win this contest would literally be helping to build the brand from the ground up. Talk about experience-building opportunity.

If you’re an illustrator in Brampton who loves to collaborate and has a little bit of flair, you just might be right for their team. Here’s your chance to build your portfolio, get some $$ and of course the most important thing, some mad street cred too.
