Brampton Gateway Terminal at Shopper’s World will be closed temporarily next week.

The closure starts Monday, October 21 and lasts until Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m. The closure is to facilitate the Region of Peel water main replacement project at the terminal.

Bus stops will be relocated and bus routes will be affected. All bus stops located inside the terminal and on the bus lay-by lane on Steeles Avenue will be closed and relocated on the street. Note that all the bus stops located along the bus lay-by lanes on Hurontario /Main St. will be open.

Here are the sets of bus routes that will be affected by the closure, with relocations of the bus stops listed underneath each:

  • Temporary bus stop will be located on the south side of Steeles Avenue, beside Real Canadian Superstore
  • Passengers MUST cross at Main Street and Steeles Avenue

2 Main Northbound

Züm 502 Main Northbound

  • Temporary bus stop will be located on the east side of Main Street, directly opposite Brampton Gateway Terminal
  • Passengers MUST cross at Main Street and Steeles Avenue

8 Centre Eastbound and Westbound

52 McMurchy Northbound and Southbound

  • Temporary bus stop will be located in the bus-only bay on Main Street

3/3A McLaughlin Northbound and Southbound

4/4A Chinguacousy Northbound and Southbound

104 South Industrial Northbound and Southbound

11/11D Steeles Westbound

53 Ray Lawson Eastbound and Westbound

56 Kingknoll Loop

  • Temporary bus stop will be located on the north side of Steeles Avenue, west of Brampton Gateway Terminal, in front of the Ocean’s Fresh Food Market parking lot

Customer Service inside the terminal will remain open during regular hours for the period of the closure.

Though traffic plans and signage on Steeles Ave. and Main St. are expected to assist traffic flow, motorists and pedestrians, including transit riders, are advised to take extra caution during this closure.
