Longtime Raptors fan Rajan Gahunia had no idea when he was producing a 2 minute track about his favourite basketball team that it was going to take off so quickly.
His Raps anthem ‘Northside Since 95’ has been getting major exposure since it dropped, having been covered by Huff Post Canada, Toronto Sun, Metro News and has even GlobalTV and Sportsnet.
A huge fan of basketball himself, Rajan couldn’t be more stoked to see it happening.
“I’ve been watching [basketball] ever since I can remember. My father is a big Raptors fan as well, and he used to take me to games,” Gahunia told Huff Post. “He enrolled me in a Vince Carter basketball camp when I was younger, so watching the Raptors has always been a part of my life.”
He even got to play it for DeMar DeRozan himself during a meet-and-greet. DeRozan later retweeted it — the ultimate seal of approval.
