The City of Brampton is proud to announce its very first Filipino Heritage Month with halo-halo brought to us by the city council and Mayor Patrick Brown.

Filipino Independence Day is an annual holiday in the Philippines on June 12 to commemorate the independence of the Philippines from Spain. On Thursday, June 13, the City of Brampton, in partnership with the Federation of Filipino Canadians of Brampton (FFCB), will be hosting a public halo-halo event at Brampton City Hall.

The mayor and council are hosting the event which will begin with an opening ceremony, followed by musical and dance performances. There will be refreshments provided by local restaurant sponsors, and even halo-halo which is a popular Filipino dessert.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free. To register for the event, click here.
