The City of Brampton just announced it will make history next year by hosting its firstever half marathon.

If you’re looking for a good way to get active over the next few months, you can lace up and start training for this race, slated to take place on June 13 and 14 of 2020.

The City of Brampton has had plenty of charity and fundraising races, but this will be the first time a race of this length is happening.

The Brampton Half Marathon will kick off on June 13, 2020 with a Runners Expo. Then the race begins on June 14 at 8 a.m. sharp. Runners will have the option to run a full 21 kilometres or opt for a 10-kilometre run.

The course will run through Brampton’s west end starting and ending at Mount Pleasant Village with a loop along historic Canadian Pacific Railway station and along Heritage Road up to Lionhead Golf Club.

The event is being held in partnership with Landmark Sports Group, and all proceeds will go to eight local charities: Boys and Girls Club of Peel, Free For All Foundation, Kay Blair Hospice, Knights Table, Peel Children’s Aid Foundation, Peel Region Chapter of Autism Ontario, Seva Food Bank, United Achiever’s Community Services.

Registration details and more information are available at Brampton Half Marathon.
