Today on behalf of Brampton City Council, Mayor Patrick Brown announced the launch of $15 Brampton Transit bus passes for seniors.

Brampton Transit will introduce the $15 discounted monthly pass for residents 65 years of age or older starting next month. As of August 6 all Brampton Transit terminals and facilities. will have them on sale.

On August 6, City Hall and Gore Meadows Community Centre will also be temporarily open to allow seniors to get their Brampton Transit senior ID card and PRESTO card, as well the $15 seniors pass.

“Continuing on our journey towards Brampton’s 2040 Vision and building a Green City, we’re committed to not only providing efficient transit service, but also a reliable alternative to driving,” says Mayor Patrick Brown. “Our goal is to implement free transit for seniors in 2020. Our seniors have built our community, and it’s only fitting that they receive a break on transit passes.”

$1 cash fares will also be available for Brampton seniors on PRESTO starting September 1. Regular senior weekly and monthly passes will no longer be available.
