The City of Brampton has a Snow Removal Financial Assistance Program to help some residents throughout the winter months.

The program helps homeowners who are seniors or people with disabilities by providing grants to cover the costs of hiring someone to remove snow from their sidewalks and driveways.

To qualify for the program residents must be 65 years or older or be permanently confined to a wheelchair. Residents who are restricted to the permanent use of crutches and braces, or have other permanent disabilities or restricted physical mobility of any kind can also apply.

The grants, which are equal up to $300 for corner lots, and $200 for non-corner lots, doesn’t apply to condominiums.

The program takes applications well into 2019 and residents can apply for it online. Find out more about the program here.
