There’s no doubt that Brampton has a ton of talent that often finds itself having to go to Toronto for opportunities.

But with more and more great, innovative companies moving into the city (Canon, Amazon, MTC Arm) and with a university planned, talented folks will have all the more reason to stay in the city.

Brampton Board of Trade, the city’s local business association for the past 130 years, is kicking off Brampton’s Top 40 Under 40 Awards to recognize individuals making waves in their respective industries, fields and businesses.

So what does the ideal candidate for an award look like? A young professional or entrepreneur whose creativity is being recognized in their field or an individual whose leadership is making an impact on the local and even global community.

The Board of Trade is looking for individuals who are inspirational and show a strong commitment to making Brampton better.

It could be a co-worker, a community volunteer, the dedicated owner of a local business you frequent, or even your neighbour.

The top 40 individuals selected will be revealed in early June and will be celebrated at a cocktail gala on June 21, 2017.
