Pizza is a universal go-to food thanks to its versatility, wide price range and the fact that it’s everywhere. A less common commodity is the pizza vending machine, but Brampton just got its first.

PizzaForno, the latest addition to Bramalea City Centre’s food court, serves up pizzas in a vending machine, and the best part? It’s basically served up by a robot.

Customers select their 12-inch pizza from an interactive screen — options include pepperoni, four cheese, BBQ chicken and more. Pizzas are cooked in a whopping three minutes and are served up by a robotic arm.

Once customers place their order, the robotic arm retrieves the pizza from a refrigerator, puts it in the oven, takes it out when it’s done, puts it in a box, and then serves it up to the customer.

PizzaForno says all the pizzas are made fresh by hand with ingredients that are locally sourced and that they plan to offer more pizza styles later this year. A pie from the magical pizza vending machine will set you back $11 to $14. You can find it in the south food court located on the upper level by Shoppers Drug Mart.
