Nick Desjardins’s epic yard displays have become a must-see attraction. Every year around Halloween Desjardins builds giant sculptures outside his Heart Lake home and it brings in people from all over the GTA.
Desjardins started two years ago with a Transformer, then a fire-breathing dragon. His latest project is an Iron Man sculpture that stands a whopping 17 feet tall.

Desjardins, a construction worker by trade and with a background in structural engineering, has been building the piece with a few of his friends since August. It was built in three sections over about seven working days, mostly on weekends.
On Halloween night, Desjardins plans to deck the house out in lights, have a DJ and an area where people can take photos with the Iron Man. The funds raised from the evening will go to the Hospital for Sick Children.
You can find the 17-foot Iron Man in all its glory on Peterson Court located in the Sandalwood Parkway and Richvale Drive area.
