Get your parkas and snow shovels ready, a major storm is headed for Southern Ontario this weekend.

The storm is expected to hit this Saturday, and The Weather Network says its expected to be a big one.

Meteorologists say the system is coming in from energy off of the Pacific and it’s not clear exactly what the trajectory will be but it’s looking like Southern Ontario will be hit hard — the heavy snow and high wind chills is going to make it pretty miserable.

Snow is expected to start Saturday afternoon and carry into the night. 5 to 10 cm is expected.

There’s a chance that the system may shift north or south and result in almost nothing for areas like Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto, but residents should prepare for the worst just in case.

Frigid temperatures have been building all week and its expected to peak this weekend. It’s going to feel like -25 with some very strong winds so you’ll want to bundle up.
