The successful music and digital arts festival started yesterday and continues until tomorrow.

Yesterday, there was a special Live Panel focused on the Arts scene in Peel. This featured Nuvi Sidhu, Chair of Brampton’s Arts Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency and Mike Douglas, the Executive Director of Mississauga Arts Council. The two of them discussed the future of arts in the region and what their ideas are to make their respective cities hubs for local artists.

It was the first time both organizations joined together in a forum like this, and Brampton’s very own DJ Roshanie moderated the conversation.

Tonight, 6:30pm at the Brampton Library, there is a coaching workshop led by Pineapple Express Media for emerging artists looking to develop their careers professionally in their respective industries. Participants will learn how to create their portfolios, and get tips on how to construct press releases, and what they need to include in their professional bios.

Then, META brings back its successful virtual concerts on Thursday, August 19th and Thursday, August 26th. The August 19th date features Arts and Entertainment collective STAY OUT LATE (Scotty IV, Tremayne, Charlie Noir, and YungWolf) as they will be performing tracks from their new album FABERGÉ. The group is known to bring the energy and has been featured in notable outlets like VICE, FLOW 93.5, and 6ixBuzz.
