As Brampton and the rest of the country mourn the loss of 11-year-old Riya Rajkumar, many are looking for a way to offer support in the wake of the tragic incident.

Neighborhood Watch Brampton (NWB) has launched a campaign to raise funds for Riya’s funeral.

NWB has set a goal of $2,500 which will go to the family to help cover the funeral and any other costs. As of the writing of this article, the campaign has raised over $9,000.

“This has deeply affected me, I have an 11-year-old daughter, and I want her mom and her family to know that we care and we’re here to support them,” says Nikki Cedrone, Chair of Neighbourhood Watch Brampton. “We need to rally around this mom, and little Riya’s family to help her through this horrible time.”
