When Peel Health inspects these establishments they look for blood borne diseases and fungal risks. They take a close look at how well equipment is sterilized and for lice in barber shops and hair salons.
So is the nail salon or tattoo shop you visit regularly cleaning their instruments properly and maintaining a clean environment? Its all part of what’s needed to pass Peel Health’s standards and prevent disease from spreading.
Peel Health keeps an up-to-date list of locations across Brampton where infection prevention and control lapses have been reported by the public, or where they themselves detect a problem through their inspections.
