The City of Brampton announced Friday that it will be offering full-day camps in the event that schools close next week.

The camps will be offered at select community centres across the city should the Peel District School Board (PDSB) and Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) close schools next week.

These camps offered are created to be convenient and affordable in order to provide a productive place for school-age children to be during the day. This effort is part of the city’s commitment to supporting hard-working parents and guardians.

The camps will start on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, and will remain open for as long as schools remain closed.

Camps will be offered at the following locations, with more locations to be added as they are confirmed:

  • Brampton Soccer Centre
  • Gore Meadows Community Centre
  • Ken Giles Recreation Centre
  • Cassie Campbell Recreation Centre
  • Earnscliffe Recreation Centre
  • Greenbriar Recreation Centre

Programming will be available for children aged 4 to 13.
