We may gripe now and then about Brampton Transit, but the truth is, it’s one of the best transit systems in the country. According to a recent report from Redfin, Brampton Transit is one of the top 5 transit systems in Canada.

Naturally, Toronto ranked number one with a score of 78. Vancouver and Montreal trail behind with scores of 74 and 67. As the ninth largest city in Canada, Brampton fares pretty well with a fifth-place ranking and score of 53, coming in just below Mississauga, which scored 56.

Brampton Transit is currently the fastest growing transit system in Canada two years in a row. In 2018 the system saw a historic 17 per cent growth in ridership.

The ranking looks at cities with populations over 300,000, ranking them with a score out of 100. Scores are calculated based on criteria such as convenience of transit and the frequency of service.

The full list ranks 15 cities — other Ontario cities include Hamilton, London and Ottawa.
