Lots of new eateries have popped up in Brampton the last little while, but one thing has always been lacking — a fully vegan restaurant.
That’s about to change because Copper Branch, a cafe-style restaurant is opening a location in Brampton. It serves up 100% plant-based, organic and GMO-free dishes that use chef-inspired flavours and nutritional foods. They also offer some gluten-free options.
Their menu is every plant-based food lover’s dream, and it doesn’t compromise practicality for flavour, which is probably the best part of it all.
They offer power bowls, which is a mishmash of various flavour combinations featuring ingredients like tofu, brown rice, guacamole, beans, chickpeas and more. They also serve up a variety of different burgers using mushrooms and black beans as the key protein, sandwiches, wraps, chilis, soups and a bunch of side dishes like poutine, nachos and more.
One crowd favourite is their Copper Burger which has a patty made of beets, organic brown rice, pea protein, hemp seeds and other ingredients. It comes topped with a Dijon and maple veganaise, caramelized onions, alfalfa sprouts, and lettuce.
Copper Branch offers all-day breakfast too, and who doesn’t love breakfast? Their Berry Chia Gluten Free waffles are worth a try. You can also enjoy your brekkie with organic coffees, teas, and tea lattes.
And did you think they’d leave your sweet tooth hanging? Their menu has a chocolate zucchini brownie, chia pudding and more.
Currently, the restaurant has 4 locations across Ontario and a bunch in Quebec where they’re headquartered. They’re opening up a bunch of new locations in Ontario this fall and Brampton will be among them.
Brampton’s location will be near the Mercedes Dealership on Mayfield Road, but an official date hasn’t been announced yet.
