Alessia Cara, Logic and Khalid are using one of the music industry’s biggest stages to make a statement.

Cara and the other artists will perform at this year’s Grammy Awards, and they will be joined by a group of suicide attempt and loss survivors hand-picked by the United States National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

The Lifeline’s number is the inspiration behind the collab track by Cara, Khalid, and Logic titled “1-800-273-8255”.

Cara, Khalid, and Logic previously performed the song at the MTV VMAs alongside suicide survivors last summer. After the performance, the hotline’s call volumes surged by almost 50 per cent.

The Brampton artist has received four Grammy nominations: Best New Artist, Song of the Year for and Best Music Video for song ‘1-800-273-8255’ as well as Best Pop Duo Performance for her collab “Stay” with Zedd.

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards hosted by James Corben will air on Sunday, January 28 at 7:30 p.m. on CTV.
