Brampton native Eryn Martin will be performing at the Smokers Club Festival in Long Beach, CA this weekend along with big-name performers Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Mac Miller, and others.
Eryn Martin’s Spotify profile describes her as a tomboy with hypnotic flows and heartfelt lyricism, and adds “Eryn’s tough outlook on life and mass appeal makes her an easy listen for all urban, indie, and hip hop lovers.” The 20-year-old singer has been writing music since she was ten.
Her first EP, EDOG, dropped on January 6. One of the tracks, “Trip,” has received more than 17K plays on Soundcloud. Martin hopes that the tune gives people “a sense of ease and lets them relax for three minutes.”
Martin, who considers Odd Future one of her biggest influences, is also a fan of Lorde and Toronto’s Emily Haines of Metric. Her goal is to write and perform more often in 2018 with the hopes of stepping out of her comfort zone and doing some collaborations in the near future.
