Toprock Climbing has officially opened its doors as Brampton’s first rock climbing gym.

The new facility located on Orenda Rd is primarily a bouldering gym where climbers have the freedom to climb without ropes at angles from straight vertical to 85 degrees.

The facility is also equipped with 20 ft. auto-belay walls.

With climbing for all levels — from beginner to expert — there’s something for everyone. Intro lessons are available for those looking to learn the basics and the facility is equipped with a shorter wall for beginners and kids.

Day passes for individuals are $20. Monthly and annual passes are also available as options. Students passes are discounted and there’s also the option to purchase family passes.

Toprock is kicking off their opening with a party on Saturday, April 8 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be local vendors, a food truck and lots of climbing of course.

The gym is located at 284 Orenda Rd on the East side of West Drive.
