Bramalea City Centre’s Forever 21, is having a Sale-A-Thon right now with prices as low as $2.
The fashion chain announced late last month that it had filed for bankruptcy and stores are selling out of merchandise fast. Forever 21 highly encourages people to shop stores in person, but on the Forever 21 website, the Sale-A-Thon is available in Canada both in-store and online for a limited time.
All sales during the Sale-A-Thon will be final. It’s an opportunity for residents in Brampton to stock up on their fashion, especially for the fall season including sweaters, jackets, pants and accessories, before stores run out of the items.
The Los-Angeles based chain, which has offered affordable prices in fashion in Canada for thirty-five years, has filed for bankruptcy in Canada and the U.S. and is ceasing all operations in Canada. Forever 21 released a statement on Sunday, September 29, 2019, saying that the chain’s voluntary file for bankruptcy is a refocusing strategy to restructure for long-term success and that all 44 Canadian stores will close before the end of the year.
Customers are encouraged to view the up-to-date store locator map on the website to see which stores will remain open in Canada and the U.S. toward the end of the year.
Canadian customers can continue to shop online after stores in Canada close, though it will be from a U.S. webite which will mean higher shipping costs and exchange rates.
Customers will have until the end of Oct. 13, 2019, to use existing gift cards at Canadian locations, and no further gift cards have been sold from Canada as of Sept. 30.
The Company will honour its existing return and exchange policy up to, and including, Oct 15, 2019, for all goods purchased on or before Oct. 7, 2019.
For questions about products, warranties, or rewards, Forever 21 says customers can continue to contact their Customer Service Department at 1-888-494-3837, and points customers who are interested in learning more about the restructuring process to refer to its case.
