Do your dogs love dressing up with you for Halloween? Why not take your decked out fur baby out for a prance around Garden Square for the second annual Halloween Dog Parade by the Downtown Brampton BIA?

From husky ice queens and pomeranian pumpkin kings, to bulldog Chuckies and malamute Freddy Kruegers, you can bring them all out for a day on display. The top ten canines of the costume contest will get one complimentary swim session with BitusPetServices. And the first 200 early-bird doggies get to feast on mini treats from Crump’s Naturals.

Rules of engagement: Owners MUST:

  • Have their dogs on leash at all times
  • Have their dogs be up to date with their current vaccines
  • Have their dogs on harness if possible. No retractable leashes. Solid no-pull leashes are required.
  • Be responsible for carrying their own dog waste bags and are responsible for picking up after their dogs.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Garden Square (Main and Queen).

Owners are to arrive at noon to sign a waiver and complete registration. Owners and dogs take part in the small parade after and then stay for the award ceremony afterwards. Dogs will be judged by their costumes during the parade line-up/registration.

To participate, owners must register via Eventbrite and for more information, check out the Facebook event page.
