Brampton’s New City Council Is Getting Inaugurated December 3

Brampton’s new set of councillors voted in on October 22 will officially take their seats at the council table this December.

The new council will be inaugurated on Monday, December 3 at the Rose Theatre starting at 8 p.m. Councillors will be sworn into office for the 2018-2022 term.

Tickets to the event are free and can be reserved through the Rose Theatre box office at rosetheatre.ca. Spaces are limited, and a limited number of accessible seats will also be available.

Should tickets run out, the ceremony will be live streamed on the city website at www.brampton.ca as well as on the large LED screen at Garden Square outside of the Rose Theatre.

The live stream will also be aired in the Conservatory on the ground floor of City Hall (2 Wellington Street West).

At the ceremony, the new Brampton City Council will take the Declaration of Office, and the mayor will make his inaugural address and will end with the confirming by-law approval by the new council.
