The Town of Caledon just got its first bus route, and it’s all thanks to a partnership with Brampton Transit.

As part of Brampton Transit’s annual service improvements, they introduced an extension to Route 81. The bus route will now travel into the Mayfield West area, with stops along Mayfield Road and Kennedy Road, Kennedy Road and Dougall Avenue, as well as Mayfield Road and Hurontario Street.

As of September 3, Route 81 now operates during peak commuter hours, or from 5:50 a.m. to about 8:45 a.m. in the morning and 2:50 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. running at 30-minute intervals.

The bus route will run just steps away from the popular Butter & Cup cafe which is now accessible to anyone who’s ever wanted to visit but can’t drive. The Town of Caledon also has a new community centre in the works, which will be located right beside the stop at Kennedy Road and Dougall Avenue.
