Calling all foodies! Celebrity chef Matty Matheson is coming to Brampton and he’s bringing his famous fried chicken recipe with him.

Matheson, a popular chef, Internet personality and cookbook author will be putting his culinary skills on full display this Saturday, September 21 in Garden Square for everyone to enjoy.

At just 27 Matheson opened up Parts & Labour, his very own restaurant in the Parkdale neighbourhood of Toronto. Parts & Labour quickly became a quintessential part of the Toronto food scene and launched Matheson’s career on YouTube, Instagram and other platforms.

Matheson was a regular on Vice’s Munchies, and also hosts Viceland’s It’s Suppertime and Dead Set on Life. He’s also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live doing food demonstrations.

His contagious down-to-earth personality is a primary ingredient in Matheson’s interactions both live and behind the camera. For Matheson, food and cooking is a love and a joy to be shared with others. He is known by his fans for his positive mental attitude and animated candidness.

Matheson will be busting out his chops on Saturday at 10 a.m. to make up a batch of his famous fried chicken using ingredients from local farmers’ market vendors. The event will include some local talent as well — Jason Rosso, celebrity chef and owner of J. Red & Co, will also be there hosting the event.

Bring your inner foodie and come and enjoy the show at 10 a.m. then, of course, enjoy the farmers’ market from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Find out more about the event here.
