In a statement from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), there is now an Emergency Order to temporarily allow all cannabis stores throughout the province to offer delivery and curbside pickup.
All AGCO authorized stores will have delivery and curbside pick-up available Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. The maximum purchase amount of 30 grams of dried cannabis is still in place and all retailers and employees must ask for customer identification to make sure they are 19 or older.
Those who are selling must have Cannsell certification and those wanting curbside pickup must order and pay online or by phone.
“When the customer arrives at the store for pick up, store staff will bring out the order, which must be in its original packaging, to the customer waiting in an area. The transaction will be captured by the store’s security cameras,” says ACGO staff. “Payment must be completed at the time of the [pre] order, not during the pick-up. Only the licensed retailer or an employee may deliver cannabis on behalf of the store.”
